AMG
The SL 55 AMG is fitted with the most powerful AMG
engine to date. The all-new 5.5 litre supercharged
V8 makes for breathtaking acceleration, from 0 to 62.5
mph in only 4.7 seconds. The gearshift buttons, located
on the rear of the AMG steering wheel spokes, allow
for smooth and accessible gear changing. The AMG Speed
shift program operates an automatic downshift function
to boost the engine’s braking effect, and ensures
you’re in the right gear at all times. This feature
comes into its own on tight corners and sharp bends.
The SL 55’s ABC (Active Body Control) has been
calibrated to AMG specific parameters to match its
performance.
The SL 55 AMG is distinguished by a sporty look. Exterior
styling incorporates both front and rear aprons and
side skirts, while the interior is elegant and luxurious.
AMG sports seats, with distinctive 5-pipe design, dynamic
multi-contour backrest and strongly contoured side
bolsters, harmonise beautifully with the sand-cast
AMG aluminium trim.
